A Tumblr account documenting my inability to accomplish my goals and the brutalization of my body along the way. In the words of my brother: “No pain, no super pain.”

This will be difficult. I’ll need to work in track days and strength days to reduce the potential for injuries. Also, race days will affect training.
I’ll go through 2, maybe 3, pairs of shoes. At about $80 a pair, this will be an expensive endeavour.
Weekly plans to follow.
I’m running a race a week from tomorrow. Proceeds and donates go to fighting lung cancer.

Somehow I just logged a PR for a run that I normally do. I’ve taken about 6 weeks off from running and my run today felt like total garbage. It felt slow. Really slow. And, I definitely faded badly. But, it was my fastest time by about 30 seconds. It was still VERY slow. But, at least I’m improving?
GPOY Post Cross Country Challenge
Dec. 4, 2011. Fun race. Two creek crossings with water up to my belly button (I’m 6’0”) at one and a few inches above my knees at the other. Steep hills. Lots of Mud. Eric, puked because he was hungover.
I’ve now run in:
Illinois (duh)
South Carolina
North Carolina
Arizona
Florida
New York
And it’s supposed to drop to 40 F and rain.
Tossing on the running shoes. See you in ~45mins.
