Ruiner - “Dead Weight”

I

Was born

A fortunate son

But I learned early on

If you want to live

You’ve gotta suffer

You’ve got to be willing to bleed.

Holy fuck

So busy. And, people keep making plans.  It’s better than being bored, right?

Although, I’d really like to find some time to finish my car and the various projects I have going around the house.

I’m definitely spending money faster than it’s coming in.  I’m glad I had that nice buffer.

On that note, listen to Defeater:

Defeater - “White Oak Doors”

Fuck! Seriously!  Buy this album!

Just a song.

Defeater - “I don’t mind”

Buy this CD. Yes, CD.  Not LP.  The CD comes with a booklet.  The booklet makes the album so much better.  It’s not expensive.  Here’s a link to the Record label: Defeater on Bridge9.

And, I used to think that my hands could dance.

But, I only needed to hold.

To hold.

TO HOLD MYSELF UP

Quiet possibly one of the best hardcore / metalcore bands I’ve ever heard.  Invokes comparisons to Poison the Well.  Not a derivative of the hardcore punk scene.

Poison the Well, 12/23/93, Opposite of December

I can’t help it.  I keep coming back to the album.  The best hardcore / metalcore album that I know.  Absolutely breath taking.  Simple beats that drive through like nothing else that I’ve heard.  From start to finish the album pummels you with pure rage.  I love this album so much that it makes me want to be a better writer.  Someone who’s articulate and intelligent.  Someone who can convince you to love the album as much as I do.

Poison the Well - “Grain of Salt (What’s the Use of Having A Heart)”

Lyrics:

Another day passes by
Another attempt at love
Remains unrequited
Why do I even bother?
I should have learned from the past
I am but a statue
Impervious to love
This punctured heart is mine
Becomes a handful of dust
Dust(x3)
Hope has now wilted away
Wilted
Along with these dreams
That became emptiness
As the razor draws closer
I am self destructive
A product of this solitude
I am riddled with shards
One simple wish now dies
Was my request so great?
One simple wish now dies
Was my request so great?
Once again I drown in ist denial
Was it so complicated?
Once again I’ve been spit upon
Taken with a grain of salt
My life is gone
